See there was an Avalanch in Glencoe earlier today, at Buchaile Etive Mhor, 3 folk were killed and 6 injured, they say 2 of the killed were men from Northern Ireland and the other guy from Scotland....  One of the injured is David Barr from Paisley who has a shoulder injury and another guy from East Kilbride, Lindsayfield area are 2 of the named survivors.... Glencoe is one of my favourite places in Scotland, the scenery is just out of this world.... 
Its been many years since a report on Avalanches in the Highlands and i dont ever recall anyone being caught up in them or killed, such a shame to end your life like that, i used to do a lot of skiing a few years ago in all the resorts in Scotland and its not something you think about traveling at speed down the side of a mountain.... 
Thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families....

christ almighty i was up the buachaille last year ....the king of hills, it has a huge drop on one side over 1,500 feet..the poor buggers must have fell off that side ..god bless them all .

They didnt fall off, they were engulffed by an Avalanch and the mountain rescue are 98% sure it was caused by one guy and his ice pick but they are not blaming him but digging the ice pick in made it loose and down it came, a few of them "surfed" it out and some were trapped under it, they were all very experienced climbers and were members of a Scottish Mountain Climbing Club....
